THE DETAILS The e-commerce giant is aiming to reach carbon neutrality by 2030 and is listing a plethora of eco-friendly products and logistics solutions, with the festival overlapping the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27).
Alibaba is said to have teamed up with merchants and brands to offer more sustainable product solutions.
THE WHY? Speaking to Alizila in an interview, Alibaba Group President Michael Evans said: “ESG will continue to be a major focus for this year’s 11.11 as we apply technology and innovation to ensure a more efficient, low-impact 11.11 and beyond.”
