THE WHAT? Henkel has reported its results for the first half of fiscal 2022. The German manufacturer of Schwarzkopf saw sales rise 8.9 percent to around €10.9 billion, driven by all business units and regions and accordingly has raised its sales guidance for the full year, predicting organic sales growth of between 4.5 and 6.5 percent.
THE DETAILS However, earnings were impacted by ‘drastic input cost headwinds’, as Henkel put it, with operating profit dropping 18.5 percent to €1,166 million.
Beauty Care sales inched up 0.4 percent, with the Hair Salon business outperforming the consumer unit, with the former reporting double digit growth while the latter saw sales dwindle versus the prior-year period, which Henkel said was a result of measures announced to improve the portfolio.
THE WHY? Henkel CEO Carsten Knobel, explains, “In a very challenging environment, sales performance in the first six months exceeded the previous expectations for the full year, while earnings developed in line with our Group guidance for fiscal 2022. In view of this development, we have raised our full-year guidance for organic sales growth for the Group and confirmed our guidance for the EBIT margin and earnings per preferred share.
“We are consistently advancing our strategy for purposeful growth and made good progress in implementation in the first half of 2022… By combining the Laundry & Home Care and Beauty Care consumer businesses, we are now creating a multicategory platform with sales of around 10 billion euros. We are well on track and aim to have our future Consumer Brands business established latest by the beginning of 2023. The combined unit will offer a broader base to optimize our portfolio more consistently and will advance the business to a higher growth and margin profile.”
Injectable aesthetics are popular due to their ability to provide noticeable results with minimal downtime compared to surgical procedures. They are versatile and can be tailored to meet individual aesthetic goals, whether it's enhancing lips, restoring facial volume, or smoothing out wrinkles. However, they should always be administered by qualified professionals to ensure safety and achieve optimal results.
Injectable aesthetics are used to enhance facial features, reduce the signs of aging, and improve overall facial symmetry and appearance.
Key types of injectable aesthetics include:
-
Dermal Fillers: These injectables are used to add volume, fill in wrinkles and folds, and enhance facial contours. They often contain substances like hyaluronic acid, collagen, or calcium hydroxylapatite, which help plump up the skin and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles.
-
Botulinum Toxin (Botox): Botulinum toxin injections temporarily relax facial muscles that cause wrinkles and lines to form. It is commonly used to treat forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows, and crow's feet around the eyes.
-
Collagen Stimulators: These injectables stimulate the body's own collagen production, helping to improve skin texture and firmness over time. Examples include poly-L-lactic acid (Sculptra) and calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse).
-
Neurotoxin Injections: Besides Botox, other neurotoxins such as Dysport and Xeomin are used similarly to reduce wrinkles and lines.
